Our Mission and Methods

Becker Academic, LLC, acts as a counterpoint to the common ways of going about the process of college selection. Getting into college can be daunting for students and dismal for their families. But, admission to a college or university of your choice does not need to be the sadistic hazing ritual that it too often becomes.

We believe that the months spent making a good college match can be a time of accelerated intellectual growth and improved communication. It can be an opportunity for identifying and refining key educational competencies. Since 2003, we have been practicing what we believe, continually expanding our programs better to serve the needs of our clients and the American public.

Mission and Methods

The mission of Becker Academic, LLC, is three-fold:

• to empower and encourage our clients and the public during the process of college search and selection,
• to transmit skills to decipher the official depictions of competing academic institutions, and
• to promote healthy modes of adaptation to the changing landscape of American higher education.

Putting our mission into practice demands distinctive methods. In our efforts, we combine sociological vision with an educational perspective. We engage actively in our work, and we encourage a high degree of involvement from our client families, workshop participants and website visitors.
